METS

Last week the Marineware Team were in Amsterdam visiting METS, the Marine Equipment Trade Show. This is show is where suppliers, distributors, innovators and investors come together to review the last 12 months and plan ahead for the next 12. We are pleased to tell you that 2015 will be an exciting year for Marineware, with many new products in the pipeline from our distinguished suppliers.

The Marine Industry also uses METS as an opportunity to reward companies and individuals who have contributed the most in the last year, with awards such as the prestigious DAME Award for design, which this year went to Jeffa Steering ApS. On a slightly lower scale Marineware were rewarded, once again, for their work with SABA's 'Golden Cartridge' Award for Distributor of the Year. It is the fifth year that Marineware have won this award and as always we are delighted to receive it.

Marineware Welcomes Joe

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce the newest member of the Marineware Team, Joe.

Joe grew up racing Merlin Rockets in the Midlands, and spent three years travelling the world before moving to Southampton and studying Marine Construction and Engineering. Joe joins the Marineware Customer Services Team having gained valuable experience with MDL, R.K.Marine and Universal Yacht Care.

PSP Southampton Boat Show

The PSP Southampton Boat Show is over for another year and what a successful show it has been! Not only were Marineware able to show off new products from Awlgrip and International but we were also able to introduce new boys Tommi and Joe to many of our customers.

Despite the official figures suggesting that public attendance was on par with last year, the Marineware Team were pleasantly surprised with the number and quality of enquiries. The show is always a great opportunity for us to see the finished projects that we have been involved with throughout the 12 months (and sometimes longer!) and this year was no exception with some beautiful wooden boats as well as the more modern carbon hulls.

Thank you to all of our customers that popped by and said hello!

Marineware Welcomes Tommi

Marineware are pleased to welcome Tommi Buckley to the Technical Sales Team. Tommi joins us with 9 years of experience in production boat building and is well versed in building vessels under survey as well as to Lloyds Register Quality, SSC, MED and SOLAS standards.

Tommi is a keen sailor, having raced all over the world he is now enjoying the delights of the Solent racing circuit on a 45 footer.

Upcoming Boat Shows

Marineware Ltd will be exhibiting at the Seawork International Exhibition and Crick Boat Show again this year.

Crick Boat Show is always an enjoyable one for the Marineware team, as we get to see the results of some of the Epifanes projects we are involved with. The show runs from the 24th - 26th May in Crick Marina and is the only inland waterways boat show in the UK and we will be exhibiting from stand KF.

Seawork International (10th - 12th June) will once again take place in the ABP Port of Southampton and Marineware will be showcasing products from Gurit, Akzo Nobel, International Paints, AwlGrip, Epifanes, Nautix, Saba, Corecell and Durepox. We can be found on stand A133.

If you would like to catch up with us at one or both of the shows, please contact your sales representative or our Customer Services Team and we will arrange a meeting.
